Default How do I tell if I have the LS6 intake?

The previous owner of my car said that he "thought" that it had the LS6 intake manifold on it. My car is a 98 so I believe it didn't come stock with the LS6 manifold. The one that is on there now is silver. Was the LS1 manifold black? How do I tell which it is?

It's not that easy. Does it have the EGR fittings?

LS6 intakes where used on 01+ vehicles and they don't have EGR. Sadly the 97-00 Corvette LS1 intake doesn't have EGR either so this isn't a fool prove id method.

The intakes look different from underneith but this would require removing it from the car.

As for colour, no they are both blask and plastic. If yours is silver it has either been painted or is a different intake. If it's aluminium then it's aftermarket.
