MAC Install Question
Im not a mechanic, but I know pretty much what to do. But how hard is it to install these with the ORY?
What is the worst thing that could happen? I mean I have instructions off the net and other things telling how, but should I just pay to get it done?
Thanks for the help guys!!

Re: MAC Install Question
When I got done me and my buddy agreed that "you dont know what you cant do untill you do it." If we would have know what it entailed to start with we wouldn't have thought we could do it, but then we did it. Of course its a big confidence booster, you get to know the engine better, etc. Just get a buddy, a weekend, and a socket set with some short and long extensions, a flex head ratcher if you can, and I think I used a 10 mm wrench a lot.

Re: MAC Install Question
I was thinking about the same thing A month ago and then I said I will just do it and got help from 3 of my friends. I would recomend having A couple of people around that can help you out. Not sure if its like this for everyone with these headers but it was A bitch to get the passenger side header to go in but I just gave it A few hard pushes and it went in, another thing that was hard was taking off the very last bolts on the coil packs.
Have fun

Re: MAC Install Question
The trick is remove the coil packs and valve covers first. Good Time to do spark plugs too!
Pass side drops in.. drivers side will go in 1/2 way then have someone turn the steering wheel (to move the knuckle around the header)while you push the header down and.. pop.. it goes right in.
This way is so much easier than going up from below. The only uder car work is hanging the Y-pipe and O2s !

Re: MAC Install Question
By myself it took me about 7 hours to install the Mac's..If I had access to air tools I know I could've cut a couple hours from that...
I reused the stock exaust gaskets and bolts but if I had to do it all over again I would've installed hardened header bolts..I've heard people breaking them off taking the stock ones out for service problems..
Pretty straight forward install with no problems at all...
