Re: Y pipe diameter
IMO id go with the 3 in.
Any decent muffler shop could mate the y pipie to the imtermediate pipe(one going over axle)
you don't need special fittings....
It's just a matter of a good shop that knows how to do it.
cuting the front pipe with the right angle and blam.. weld um up... will work like a charm! <img src="images/icons/grin.gif" border="0"> <img src="images/icons/grin.gif" border="0">
My best frind runs a hot rod muffler shop! <img src="images/icons/grin.gif" border="0"> <img src="images/icons/grin.gif" border="0">

Y pipe diameter
I have a set of Grot headers that I'm putting on this weekend. I then need to have a custom y-pipe made to go to my SLP dual/dual. With both ends being 3" should I stay with 3" piping and 3" y collector? I looked at Summit's website and all they have is 2.5 into 3". What are the pro's and cons of running 2.5" y-pipe and a 3" y-pipe? TIA
Jason
