Question

I would like to see some also..some people place the cats right after the header..to me, this seems the best way to heat them up..others place them further down...I imagine this is for more clearance.....I would like to hear some opinions also....thanx... [I am running an ORY for now..but the emmisions test is less than a year and will have to stick some on..also are Magnaflows nice.???

I have a TSP catted-y pipe. I am very happy with it.

That's how low it hangs.

I just put in the pacesetter LT's and TSP catted Y pipe and I love it. I dont think there was any loss on ground clearence and with the SLP LM it sounds awesome.

My QTP Cat Y has less clearance than the WS6 has in the pic. QTP uses the crap ceramic Carsounds also. I just blew a cat a month back. I don't think they can handle pushing lots of power thru them. Might want to upgrade to the Magnaflow metallic highflow cats.

Here are some pics of my custom Y. Don't have any good clearance pics but it is almost even with the chassis.

Originally they were the tips off the Magnaflow Corvette C5 catback, but they are now available as an option with the fbody exhausts.

Here's more info on my exhaust, and more pics :

https://ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iii-external-engine/453262-pics-custom-stainless-magnaflow-exhaust.html

...and yeah the tips are indeed huge - I think they fill up that rear valance nicely - "got boost" !

Cheers,
Rob (Bad30th)
