Default Cleaning an intake manifold?

I just bought an LS6 intake from a guy in my car club here(taht he's had in his car for about a year now) and I'm looking forward to putting it in, but I have a quesion. How can I clean out the inside first? It has all that oil in there from his car. I'm planning on putting a catch can on as well as some other stuff when I do this, so i would like to get that out of there since it isn't going to be getting all messy again. How should I go about cleaning it out?

Thanks for the help.

You cant really hurt it by cleaning it out off the car, just be carefull and make sure its dry before putting it on the car.. i use top end cleaner on and off the car..

I'd spray it with brakekleen with it off the vehicle and then blow it dry with an airgun.

Oil degreaser and a flexible toilet wire brush, thats what I used on mine and it made it spotless inside. I also used alot of Goo-Off before the degreaser to loosen the big ****. Mine was really bad too.
