Default Intake swap help....

I am doing a ls1 to ls6 intake swap and will be doing the 2 coolant plugs in the rear of the block. My question is since I am getting rid of all that piping on top of the valley cover, and since my New intake did not come with the foam padding on the intake, do I need to swap it over???

Yeah, I could have just said no. But that would have been too easy.
