does a 3rd gen exhaust work for a 4th gen?

Default does a 3rd gen exhaust work for a 4th gen?

buddy is lookin for a exhaust for his car and found that 3rd gen exhaust are a lot cheaper. They mount in the same spot correct? I would think so, i had a 3rd gen and there all still f-bodys right.

The muffler set up might be similar but I doubt the over the axle part will be the same, if they were they would be the same price and the same part number. Similar enough to work with some fab work but I wouldnt expect it to just bolt right in.

I've got a Mufflex on my 85 Camaro that was designed for a 98+ car. Only thing different is the inlet of the intermediate pipe.
