great. now its time to order and bolt on.
wouldnt still require you to still make the opening for the egr tube?

I bought the LPE part.
Makes the LS6 intake look completely stock to a LS1 intake. It's a well done piece.
Used LS6 + LPE part costs a lot less than the SLP lid, and if you grind down the fins on the LS6 intake, it will fit comepletely without having to remove the coolant tubes.

That’s why I ordered a new SLP intake with the egr housing. I ordered it from LS1speed.com and it came with everything I need for an easy install. It didn’t make
sense to me to buy a used intake and then spend money on the egr block off plates, coolant lines and gaskets, why not just buy a new one that comes with everything and be done with it.
I received it today and will install this weekend.

the only reason to go with slp intake is for emmsions purpose or if you would like to keep egr for that. im in cali and egr is needed for emmsions so i opted for it. but if emmsions is not a concern and you have a 98-2000 ls1. you can get and intake form our sponsors or search the for sale section..
i recieved my slp intake earlier this week now need to find the time to install.
