E.G.R and A.I.R ( help)
have a 98 ss m6. all stock except for lid-cat back, buying LTs
If i get the Race versions of the LT how would i delete all this stuff?
have a tuner delete codes?
how about the intake manifold egr hole?
what purpose does the EGR serve?
After lt installed and EGR AIR removed will car run ok to get it to a tuner?
Just need some knowledge!!

If you are like me and like to fab **** up just build it its not hard at all. Just get you some sheet metal, then make your own block off plates, real easy. On the intake, use a round peice of sheet metal drill a hole in the middle then run a bolt threw the intake to the bottom of the hole, using another peice of sheetmetal just to hold down the top circle for the egr intake hole.

You can get the plug at an autoparts stores. Theres a whole page dedicated to this in one of the stickies.
The car will run exactly the same with the AIR/EGR removed, but the SES light will come on. The tuning is simply to turn these codes off. If you're having these codes turned off, you might as well have the rear O2 codes turned off as well and you'll save money on buying O2 simulators (which only prevent the SES light).
You will not need ANY blockoff plates with the race style LT's, just the 1-3/8" adjustable freeze plug for the intake manifold.
