Default eliminating the EGR

I plan to install an ls6 intake. Is there any reason to not eliminate my EGR. WI does not do underhood inspection. Will this set a code. Also where can I get a block off plate.

I ditched my EGR years ago and all you need:

Block off plate for the passenger side manifold
Disable the EGR Codes

I bought my block off plates from Paceparts.com

Ya all you need is some block off plates for the manifolds unless you get race headers which dont even have a spot for EGR. All EGR is is exaust gas recirculation ( i think) but its not needed just like the AIR stuff.. You need to read up on the how to's on how to remove it theres a whole bunch of stuff that is taken off. After this stuff is removed your car will throw a code but find someone with HPtuners around you to just turn it off and you will be fine.

it cleans up the engine bay and reduces minimal weight... simple enough, if you don't have strict emissions then strip away and block off the provisions and eliminate the codes.
