I've ordered the TSP Rumbler and gonna put it on over my break, thats decided, but I can't decide whether to gut the cats or not....Will this cause too much rasp or drone? No headers or even new Y pipe yet...so its just the rumbler.

I don't think it's worth it, do you have emissions test in your area? Regardless there are other mods you can do that will give you more than just a few hp.

I was actually talking more about how the cats affect the sound, its not the horsepower gain I'm real worried about.

No cats = louder but rasp?
Cats = quieter?

I had SLP LM and gutted cats and LOVED it, it you get LT's too you will need cats but with the stock manifolds I didnt have any rasp

i gutted my cats but there are no emissions where i live i like the way it sounded made it a little louder without a lot of raspyness sounded good with my magnaflow cat back it was ok but the lts sound better

sounds like i might try gutting them then, and no, theres no emissions - im in rural illinois
