Default stock c/b with hooker muffler/ cut out restriction?

Hey everyone, I will be getting headers not too long after christmas, and have been contemplating a new c/b set up. What i was thinking of doing is uzing my stock catback and welding a hooker aerochamber muffler in place of the stock one, and buying a cutout. I would buy the whole system, but i got the muffler for free. would it be a big restriction, due to the fact that it goes from the 3"y to the 2.75" i believe stock piping? hopefully a cam will be in the near future as well. Also what size cut out should i get to go weld in place? I was told 3".

Thanks......Jarett

I had that on my last F-Bird.

The only problem is:

1.Still stuck with ugly factory bell mouth tips
2.Hooker is painted not stainless and will start to rust.

Nice sound and a bit of a power increase, especially with LT you should be happy.

I had alot of complements on my old Z28s sound, probably more than some of my buddies. Mine was headers with the stock catback and cut out.
