Default !AIR question and idea

i live in ohio and need to pass emissions, my question is, what if i remove all the lines and everything from the air system, and when i need to get an echeck, just hook the pump back up without connecting any of the lines back up...so basically it would just be the air pump connected, would that keep me from throwing a code?

As soon as you remove the air check valves, etc. you'll throw a code - whether the pump is connected or not. What type of "echeck", codes only?

Mine only threw a code when the hoses were off..once I removed and unplugged the pump, the SES light went off...kinda opposite of how it should be.

If you have another car that you use for a daily driver you can get collector tags for your TA and it will be exempt from E-check. You do have to send them a copy of a valid registration for the daily driver.
