Default slp lid

ok so i know that whisper lids need a breather filter to be fully functional but i noticed that the slp lids on the internet say nothing about needing this filter. Do all 2000-2002 aftermarket lids need a breather filter? I am getting an SLP so i just need to know before I buy one.

Yes, I think that the SLP lid is the only one that does not need an extra breather filter.

98-00 need the breather for the air pump... 01-02 do not.

I have an SLP lid and the AIR pump hose plugs into the lid. If it does not you can allways run down to Auto Zone and pick up a cheap tiny breather filter and chop the AIR hose down and stick the filter on there for a cleaner look.

you'll see on this picture the tube coming out of the side is the filter.... I've had mine for like 4 or 5 years never had a problem with it.

Sorry, but my '02 needed the breather too. The AIR system is now gone though.
