Default '70 GTO factory cutout? the Humbler?

Not sure where to put this, but, has anyone ever heard of this? http://www.autoblog.com/2006/12/24/v...o-the-humbler/

It's an option that was called "The Humbler," and it sounds pretty good to me haha. Is this like a factory cutout or something???

Default

The way it worked was simple: the driver pulled a lever on the dash that relieved backpressure and increased horsepower while adding a delightfully vicious exhaust note.
That cut-out that was connected with a cable. The cable opened & closed the cutout (same way you control a manual choke on a carb). You can still buy them from places like jegs or summit. Or you can buy an electric one from QTP.
