Default 4 exhaust shops say that true duals are impossible on my car

This is starting to make me mad. 2 guys said that the design of the car doesn't allow for a true dual set up to fit and others have said it would be way too low to drive on the street. Maybe its just because I'm in a town of about 10,000? but two of these "exhaust shops" are supposed to be really good

They are just being lazy, anything can be done with enough time and money...obviously they don't want to do the work...

I would suggest posting in a local forum (or local section) to find places that are ls1-knowledgable. These guys would have experience working with ls1 vehicles specifically such that they would be able to build something for your car.

Also have you considered the Bassani Kit? You can get almost any place to install it for you even if they are not familiar with ls1s.

They are either stupid or lazy - show them some of the setups on this site. The layout is a little funky on our cars, but it isn't exactly the biggest challenge to ever hit the aftermarket exhaust community!

I don't think that they believe that true duals can't be done, but they probably think they that shouldn't be done. I was in the same ordeal. The local exhaust shop said they could do it, but that they didn't want to because I would be unhappy with the scraping and what not. But I brought them pics from here and they did it anyways.

Many times if you don't come in with a choice, you're going to get a pitch one way or the other. But if you have to use any of the places you mentioned out of the four, you could take them pics, or if they are internet savvy and you got some ***** show them this thread and see their reaction.

Go back & tell'em they're phrickin' retarded.

http://www.fbodymotorsports.com/inc/sdetail/43970

Then go buy this set-up & do it yourself!
Take it back & show them how it's done!

(This is a costly alternative but, they'll all cost about this much anyway. They could use this for a guide also. I have seen a system where both pipes run together over the axle on the right rear also. Many ways to do it!)

And yes it can be done, and yes your shops you tried are lazy idiots
