Default Help!Ls6 intake!

Is this the right part number! Ls6 intake manifold #12561182! I'am goning to put this on a ls1 camaro 1998! Will this work!

yeah its an LS6, you will either need the coolant crossover pipes and plugs or you can do like I did and just grind down the ridges on the bottom of the intake to make room for the existing lines.

grind it but be sure it does not rattle since it is next to the knock sensor. plugging is not ideal because air pocket may for at the top of the head. these lines inreality keep that from happening. if you do plug it make sure you bleed the air off.

A rattle from the intake should not set off the knock sensor anyway, it detects a certain frequency.

ok, explain it to me then please. The knock sensor does not pick up just any sound and start pulling timing. If that was the case our cars would be screwed with all the rattling and the valvetrain noise.

I searched the web and it seems that most knock sensors operate at 6KHz and above, which is well above the audio range of a rattling plastic intake.
