Default Intake manifold question...

Do i need to remove it rid the car of the EGR and AIR stuff? I have Pacesetter headers with the provisions. If i cut the provisions off level with primaries , will welding them shut cause any draw backs such as rust? they are coated pacesetters. Thanks

You don't need to remove the intake to ditch EGR and AIR. Just do a search on here for some how-to's. You also don't need to weld shut the provisions on the headers. There are block-off plates you can buy that just bolt over the connections to keep them shut.
