Default Need Help(car Wont Start After Manifold)

i put on the lingenfelter manifold,checked everything. went to start it up and bam.there is a pop and i see a small bit of fire or flame from pass side closest to firewall.what the hell could be wrong.please help,thanks

check your fuel lines...that could be the ticket...

all lines seem ok.do the injectors need to be any one way

i dont know about injectors...but you say when you try and start it it sounds like its catching fire?


I would just make sure everything is back together and everything you took off/un-hooked is put back the same...

its not catching fire,but i seen a spark or something fron that injector.i did remove the egr but i thought that would just throw a code.

make sure ur injectors are in all the way, lube the 0-rings with wd-40 so you won't tear em when you push them in -- are u throwing any codes?

Did you have a set of like 8 bolts or studs left over from the install package?
There have been other threads about how if the stock bolts/studs are used for the reinstall - that the lip or head spacing of the stock bolt sticks out approx. 1/16" too far and won't allow the intake manifold to seat correctly. This also tends to crack the bottom of the intake manifold when its torqued down.

I'm not sure if this info is related to your type of intake or if it is only related to another manufacturer's intake. I just recall seeing this problem from time to time. You will have to do further research to determine if this could possibly be one of the causational factors to your dilema.
