Default SLP "flow pack"?

Is this worth the money? Does any one have it? Would it be bad to drive in the rain? And power gains?

Personally, I'd do the free ram air and a lid with a good filter. Much cheaper with probably the same results.

I have it on my 98 Z. It was the first mod I did and I noticed a difference. IMO it was worth the money. Not very hard to install either

don't do the free ram air mod. get the SLP lid as it's the least expensive, the best quality and IMO, the best looking. then, get yourself the fast toys ram air kit (FTRA) from thunder racing. skip the smooth bellows altogether. with the SLP lid and the FTRA kit installed, you'll notice a very big difference in top end power. expect about a 20 horsepower gain up top at speeds over 60 mph. they're two very good mods and it'll both perform better than the SLP flowpack and be cheaper.

the FTRA is far superior to the "free ram air" mod, which may net you 5 horsepower and a dirty filter as it's really just a hole in your airbox. the FTRA has an actual scoop, is very lightweight, very high quality and expect a 10+ horsepower gain way up in the top end. the FTRA is like the FRA on steriods. do it right or don't do it at all, i say.

"flow pak" huh? Sounds like a feminine hygiene medicine ergo it sounds rather gross also

I did the FTRA mod (assuming that's the one where you cut the bottom of the air box out, all the acronyms make me poor wee brains hurt!) and didn't notice my filter was significantly dirtier than before doing the mod. I do have a WS.9 hood without baffles. The filter only gets dirty along one strip - right where the tray was cut out, as you can lay under the car and directly see the filter). When it gets dirty, I just flip it around so that the clean area is directly over the open area.

I was wondering if anyone else did that instead of cleaning it every time.

I haven't noticed any change in fuel consumption or anything by doing it, so I figure why the hell not. That little strip is literally the only dirty area on the filter.
