Default Finally got the LS6 intake on!

After a couple months of sitting in the garage I finally ordered the crossover pipes and got the intake installed along with the thunder racing ported TB. Thanks to Dave (One2Run) for the install. Alot more responsive and smoother acceleration. When I slowly run up the rpm's in second and stomp on it, the car feels like it's launching into oblivion! Just can't wait until I put in HartAttack's 224 cam in the next few months after taxes.

Looks good. I was pleased with the performance gain of the LS6 intake as well.

Was it fairly easy to install, and how long did it take.

I just did mine last week, along with the LS6 valley cover to change over my PCV action,,i would say the hardest part was removing the ERG from the header,,,breaker bars, and rachet wrenches will be your friend. I spent 4 hours doing it all, including fabing up a EGR block off plate, and looking for a lost injector clip!

Took about an hour and a half, fairly easy!
Yeah those injector clips are the hardest part of the whole job; yet once you get the hang of those it is clear sailing.

Cool, mine is daily driven and I just wanted to make sure it could be done in a day. I did my headers in 4 hours so the intake should'nt be that hard

Also, do you get a code when you unhook the EGR. I don't have a programmer to delete a code so could auto zone delete it

fairly easy install, took me about three hours taking my time. just be careful with the oil pressure sending unit. breaking it can set you back a bit. i too am happy with the results of my ls6. i'll be happier this summer when the heads and cam can breathe better too.

I didn't install it but if you have any questions about the install, you'd have to PM One2Run.

You will throw a code for removing the EGR, but can be programmed not to. I have not done this, nor have i noticed any drop in performance, with that or my othre code (lol),,,just a light,,and the EGR connector haning there in the engine bay.

autozone can't delete codes they can just reset the computer and the code will come back as soon as you start up your car. you either have to find someone closeby, buy a tuner, or get it tuned
