Default Need a tune?

I just installed Lt's, ls6 intake, egr and air delete, #42 injectors, and a p&p MAF and TB. I am waiting for a month or two to install the cam (reson for injectors). while the car is sitting in storage for the winter i was wondering if its ok to drive it over to the exhaust shop without a tune to have the headers connected to the rest of the system without doing damage to anything. thanks for the help.

You should be fine without a tune, lots of people run full boltons without a tune all the time. If you are planning for a tune down the road, that's better because after full boltons is a great time to get a tune, when you know you are not going to modify anything anytime soon. IF you are getting a cam soon, then wait till you install your cam to get a tune. You might run rich or lean so I wouldn't go WOT very much just to save your cats and 02 sensors.
EDIT: forgot about the injectors, that could be a problem...

I wouldn't drive it if you have put the the injectors in and not tuned for them.

Few things wrong here.

Your stock fuel injectors should be PLENTY for any cam you're going to put in. The car probably won't even run with stock fuel tables and 42lb injectors. You don't need those unless you're running a big dry shot of nitrous, which you don't mention.

"p&P MAF" is about the most potentially harmfull "mod" you can do. Even if it works out perfect, you won't see any HP from it.

I'd stick the stock injectors in, and hope the MAF works well enough for it to be driveable. If this happens, then yes it's ok to drive it to the exhaust shop.

I wouldnt run those injectors untuned. Youll be dumping almost twice the fuel the car is expecting.

Shouldn't cause a problem, although it probably wont drive too well until you do get a tune.

It probably wont run well if at all with those injectors. With those mods the stock injectors should be fine.
