Default Just bought pacesetters and nee help plz!

they're in good shape my question is they have a little rust on the bottom end of them how long will they last me and is there something I can do to clean them up? I want to get longest life out of them i've heard that they only last 2 years?
P.S. I paid $40 for them both!

only time will tell. if its only the bottoms i wouldnt worry about it. now if they are uncoated period and are the painted type then yea DEFF. get a ceramic coating. jet hot does it for like 150ish I think.

The main factor in how long they will last is your road conditions. salt on the roads and if you live near the beach

If they aren't coated, I'd save your money and buy some new ones to swap them out with later. If they are coated, carb cleaner and SOS pad should take the brown stuff off, but it'll be back.

You get what you pay for.

A friend of mine had them and yes they are the coated kind not painted the rest of the headers is in great shape it's just the bottom end that has the rust I found a spot not to far from me that will re-coat them for $250. I think i'm a just get them coated again i'm still comming out cheaper than buying a new set.

The bottom of them is going to rust, odds are you'll scrape them on speed bumps, just comes with the territory. They should last longer than 2 years if you take care of them.

i was being fecisious. i wouldnt waste 250 to have them re-coated. just clean them maybe spray some high temp paint on there and drive it. they will just re-rust again dont waste your money.
