Installed headers is it normal to create a lot of smoke?

Installed headers is it normal to create a lot of smoke?
Like the title says. Started the car with open headers and when you give it a lil gas a ton of gray/black smoke comes out. Kinda hard to tell what color at night

If its still smoking after you have driven it for a while, then you might have an issue with something else.

Thanks guys. I let it sit for a bit and restarted it and it seems the smoke died down. If I didnt get out of that garage it would have seemed like I commited suicide with all those fumes. They did give me a instant headache...

Mine did the exact same thing. A little smoke at first is normal. Give it a little time and the smoke should go away. Mine went away after just a mile or so. If it doesn't go away you may want to make sure you don't have other problems.

you'll get fumes for sure and if they are coated... the coating has a break-in smoke until every settles in. and for the future... if you install hi flow cats, they will smoke and have a burning brake smell to them.
