Default Alternator mod

I once heard you could run a switch to the alternator to turn it off & reduce drag while at the truck. All this without removing the belt. Anyone know what I'm talking about and how to do it?

The little bit of drag the alternor puts on the serpentine system wouldn't do much for times....

Are you looking to do this in your Silverado/Sierra?

The first thing I do to all of my cars is remove the antenna. This has proven to be a great weight saving mod. I also recommend COMPLETELY draining your coolant before a big race because water does weigh 8.33lbs per gallon.

Don't forget to add that alternator switch too.
