Mine was using alot. I put in a catch can and it stopped. Pull your lid/maf/bellows off and look through the TB into the intake with a flashlight. Chances are you're gonna see alot of oil mist everywhere. If so, you probably need to throw a catch can on.

I went cheap with the "Home Depot" catch can. It works great.

My mustang buddy who is the one who told me about this went that route for his car. One of my other friends told me something about putting an LS6 PCV valve under the intake, or something? I am looking into a 90-90 int. setup so this would be a good time to put this on.

I don't understand how running a catch can changes oil consumption. I mean the oil still goes somewhere, in this case your catch can instead of the intake, but your still using oil (that goes in the catch can). Anyone have an explaination?

I've found my AMW works great, but will only hold so much before the oil gets sucked into the intake again. I just drain it every 200 miles or so. AMW has a series of rings inside of the can so the oil circulates in them rather then getting sucked through. But i think once it is at a certain level the rings only hold so much and it sucks through. Really nice piece though, i'd put money on that it works better than the cheap ebay ones(although i'm sure those help too).

lsx24, it may still consume and sit in the can, but that is a lot better than consuming it through the combustion chamber gunking everything up in time, or in other words burning oil.

if you have THAT much oil to were you are worried about flooding an engine with it.. you seriously need to take the engine apart and inspect your rings, valve seals, ect.
