texas speed doesnt make them anymore & they havn't for a while now; anyone else

Does an 85mm lid really offer much gain in airflow over something like an SLP lid? I ask b/c I've got a 4" rubber coupler that connects my SLP lid to my 90mm TB and it seems like it's pretty close to 4" to me (the outlet of the lid)
