Fouled plugs after head/cam install??? HELP!!
I know it is long, but I really am trying to explain!
Some of you may have seen my post in multimedia regarding my head cam build...the car started the first day and all...thought all was going well..
I did notice though that I had to turn the engine about 10 seconds for it to start....just did not want to start! Eventually it would hold idle...so I thought all was fine..
Tonight I pull the car out to finish up some stuff. I turned the key and it started pretty quickly, idled, and just shut off....I attempted to start it up again...no good, all it did was crank and crank and crank....
I tried it a few times..nothing...
I tested the big wire pack that plugs into the coila..they both have power...
So, I then moved to the plugs (the wires are next to new so its not that)
I remove the number 1 plug and it not only is covered in what seems to be fuel, but also what looks like a lot of anti sieze and REAKS of gas...the porcelin was also cracked (only this plug was cracked, I think it happened upon removal)
I removed all plugs and all seemed to be soaked in fuel, and anti sieze residue..
What in the hell is going on? DId I flood the engine by cranking it so much?
I want ya'll to know that I really upgraded my fuel system...Speed Inc rails, 42# green tops, Racetronix pump....
Is this combo flooding the engine with fuel..more than it can handle? WHat is the fix..I am tired of this thing not running...I understand that the MS3 is a large cam and all, BUT it wont run at all...when it did quite a bit of black smoke was coming out of the headers...is this a sign?
THANKS! HELP!

I was told that the 42# injectors are going NUTS because I am on stock tune...
The way I thought it worked was when you upgrade an injector, it flows the stock amount of fuel, but has a better flow limit than stockers....I did not realize as soon as you turn the car on they flow more that stock...that explains the thick *** exhast smell...and fouled plugs...****
Thanks Josh!
Anyone else had this happen..I guess I didnt educate myself 100% like I thought..
I am going to swap injectors tomorrow back to stock...then throw in the 42's later...

Just change the IFR table to reflect the new injectors, too damn easy man. Do a search for the values that you need in the tuning section, they are posted there.
This is one of them for 42lb
MAP (kPa) 0 5 10 15 20 25 30 35 40 45 50 55 60 65 70 75 80
Injector Flow (g/sec) 6.15258 6.190924745 6.229033451 6.266910425 6.304559843 6.341985758 6.379192104 6.4161827 6.452961256 6.489531379 6.525896571 6.56206024 6.5980257 6.633796174 6.6693748 6.704764631 6.739968642

NOw I have to get some new plugs....or at least one..and clean the others..

Sorry did not see this sooner. You larger injectors were your problem. I'm sure you have figured that out now that you have put the stock ones back on. Just get new plugs and like you said wait to put the larger ones on until you tune it or you get it tuned somewhere. Hope all is going to work for you today.
