Default SLP y pipe worth 75$?

I have the chance to pick one up that has 2500 miles on it for 75$. Is it worth it? My car is a stock 00 SS. Sounds like a good deal to me.

Is it for use with headers or the stock manifolds?

i would get it if your not doing headers right now, i have one and it actullay does give the exhaust a bit of a diff. sound plus its 2.5 all around no flat spots so you can have some cut outs in it.

I would get it then. YYou might want to check and see if you are going to have an issue with it banging. If so I would check into getting some of the poly trans mounts.

Why would poly trans mounts help with the banging? I've heard bad stuff about the trans mounts. Why not get poly engine mounts?

you'd think that, but it really doesn't hurt performance. proof is many people have went to the SLP y-pipe and seen no difference in performance. the SLP y-pipe is better looking and will change your exhaust note, but don't expect any horsepower gain out of it. you'd probably get more from a K&N filter.

You can do both. It does help with the banging for either one. Solid mounts can do it too, but I would not suggest it for someone that was worried about the pipe banging anyway. If one is poly the other one needs to be. I have solid mounts all around. It is a dd nightmare.
