Default Help picking out a Throttle body

well i figured while i got the whole top of the motor down i might as well replace the intake and tb for something a little better. so i need some opinions. Also if i got with the 85 mm manifold can i use my stock 75 mm throttle body untill i decide on a tb thanks

i will be running the BBk SSi 85 mm intake manifold also but i dont rely like the looks of their tb so what are you guys running

Fast 90 with a NW tbody. That is what I would do.

i love the fast setups and the nw tbody but i just cant swing the 1k+ for a intake and throttle body at this time.thus the reason i went for the BBk intake i can get it brand new for 350 from my fathers shop .Ive been looking at the Profesional products tbodys latley and they seem to look very nice for the price

Try this, its alot cheaper and you could go with a 90mm tb if you like:

Unless you are doing heads and a fairly large cam, I think that the 90 setup would be overkill. How much is that couple extra hp worth ($)?

Don't waste the money for a new BBK manifold. I would search the for sale section and see if you can find an intake and throttle body combo. I have seen some 90/90's go as low as 700$ for both.

hey jordan i see alot of post on that bbk intake .but honestly what seems to be the major downfall to it .Most ppl say heat soke, but i figured since i was goin to spray it that the it would be a little better than a urathane ls6 intake

Heat soak is a myth for street cars. It hardly has a noteable effect on it. Why do you think the big power makers are using sheet metal intakes over a composite?
