Quick ported tb Q
I just want to know if it it worthwhile to have the tb epoxied? Any negatives from doing this? Also what is the 'bumpstop' mod? Thanks I just want to make sure I do everything right before I go ahead an order one, I figure you guys would know the best as to what to do. Not sure if this makes a difference, but my car only has a lid and exhaust w/a cutout.

Everything you need to know!
+1 on the epoxy .. I wouldn't mess with it. All risk and I haven't seen anyone gain from it.

OK so the epoxy is def. out of the question. Do you all think it is worthwhile to get the bumpstop done, does it provide any benefit? More airflow faster, revs etc.?

Yes it's worth it. I don't think anyone has dynoed, before and after, but it can't be good that your TB is only opening 85%.
Epoxy is debateable. If done right, it shouldn't be a problem. But who knows whether or not it really smooths airflow enough to cause a tangable difference.

i just ported my own last week. Turn out nice. Didn't epoxy though. Dont like the thought of any thing flaking or chipping off and sucking into the motor. Although im sure it dont happen to often. Im to poor to have to replace the motor due to something like that.
