SSRA hands down. it makes the best power for a good price. dont bother with the K&N or volant, unless you can find a Brain Green Ram Air kit which isnt made anymore

dont buy the flowpac period. the only thing useful in the whole kit is the lid. the filter, if you want a K&N you can get one but a lot of people use a stock paper one. the bellows are 100% appearance, the intake kit they give you isnt that great, the FTRA is better than theirs but SSRA beats them all. get a lid and SSRA and not only will it be cheaper than that flowpac but get you more power

The Volant CAI is good for a WS6, it'd be even better with BGRA.

it comes with a block off palte if youre worried about it. the SSRA has a big gap to let water drain out of it also and very few people have had that happen. is it possible? yes is it likely? no

well then how about this. This is what im doing unless I find a BGRA...

On the WS6 hood they have rain baffles, I plan to cut those out and use weatherstripping and put it around the opening of the hood. That will seal the airbox to the hood and be better than the SLP still and perform jsut as well as the volant kits. The way im doing it will only cost me for the weather stripping and plenty of people on here have done it and have had 0 problem in the rain. you gotta remember even if rain does get into the airbox it still has to go up an inch and through a filter to even get in the motor

I just installed the K/N FIPK set up on my Mecham and it was a noticable improvement over the modified base, K/N filter and LG lid. Just normal driving you can tell the part throttle response has improved. I think most people bad mouth the K/N FIPK due to the high price? I think the more the air flow demand is increased the brighter the FIPK will shine over an air lid due to more filter surface and less restriction due to the filter itself.

I would love to see a dyno comparison between the different breather/intake set ups to sort out any bias. Naturally your going to have more people swearing by other designs due to the mutch higher number of people using the other designs due to pricing and personal experience...IMO

Do you plan on driving the car during a flash flood and totally submerging it in water up to the top of the wheels? If not, you're fine with the SSRA. You won't have a problem with it.

LOL....no i don't .....i was thinkin that if i was to hit a puddle ..a few inches... this would cause a great deal of water pressure under the car..this can be seen by how much water pours out of the fenders...

Well "technically" you are right it comes with a block off plate. That block off plate is cutting a 15"x 2" piece of cardboard off the box the SSRA came in and putting it under the filter if you are worried about it when it rains. I've yet to see a post where someone has hydrolocked their engine while running the SSRA. I know I've driven in quite a few monsoons when I used it as a dd a few years back in Memphis.
