Default Mufflex or Flowmaster?

I just found out I had a flowmaster muffler - I bought it thinking it had a bullet muffler! I have the opportunity to switch it to a mufflex muffler instead - how is the mufflex compared to flowmaster?

wait....What? How did you confuse a Flowmaster chambered muffler with a bullet? Unless you just never ever looked.

I used to have a mufflex setup on my car, and I currently have another one sitting in my garage for the z28. It has a spintech muffler, and the old 4" setup had a magnaflow that was simply awesome.

I didn't think that Mufflex even made their "own" muffler?

Spintech is not the greatest. I don't know how it rates against a flowmaster, but I would get a magnaflow if I were you.

All a Flowmaster is dude, is sound. It don't flow for ****!! The Spintech's are....hmmmmm...okay in my book. But if you want a good flowing muffler with a good sound the Maganaflow bullets are hard to beat. I like a more robust and hardcore sound, so I go witht he SLP Loudmouth muffler.

Now I am assuming we are discussing catbacks here? If so, then yes, the 80 series crossflow style Flowmaster isnt what you want. Now if its true-duals, then the single chamber race mufflers arent bad at all.

Based on flowtests I've seen, the Mufflex (spintech) mufflers are significantly better in terms of flow than the flowmasters. Magnaflow bullets, Hooker Maxflow, Borla, Dynomax Ultraflo all are Killer, as are the Dynomax race bullets.
