Default o2 sensor is throwing a code!

i have a 01 trans am ws6 with longtube headers and a catted ypipe, it also has a hptuner tune.....this last wednesday i had it inspected for pa inspection and it passed .....but when i picked it up the service engine light was on. i was thinking maybe whatever they did could have thrown it out of wack and maybe a retune co do it......i did hook it up to a obd2 reader and the codes were for a 02 sensor circuit malfunction. please let me know what it could be.

first off be glad it just passed inspection. parts go bad, its part of owning cars, especially when you start modifying.

Bank 1 sensor 1 is the driver side pre-cat. Time for a new one man.

About 50-60 bucks each. I have had good luck with the Bosch ones. I use PN 13111, it's the vette rears, it is longer and doesnt require the extensions that you have to use with longtubes, and it has also been said to have a hotter "heater" in it, so they get to temp faster, which helps when you have longtubes cause the O2s are located further downstream. I would replace them as a pair. Damn what run-on sentence
