Custom 3" over axle duals
After running true duals that dumped out before the axle for about a year I had an "incident" with a steep rising exit to a business. Needless to say the half the exhaust system was left on the sidewalk as I drove off. After a walk of shame back to the exit to collect my parts it came to me this is the chance to get the exhaust system I always wanted.
So off to the local Tooele county shop I went. Cas was able to build a custom dual system that is over axle that I am very happy with. The new system ties into a dual inlet/outlet Flowmaster 80 series street muffler. The sound is bad *** with the MS4 cam in the engine and Pacesetter LT headers.
The biggest problem I had with the old system was clearance. The retards in Utah don’t know about under ground storm drainage so they dig very large and deep trenches in the roads. As you can imagine this is a problem with any vehicle that isn’t a 4X4. The new system has no clearance issues on our horrible streets.
I would like to thank Cas for all his hard work and time he put into this project. Here is a link to a short sound clip of the new system i will post a longer clip a little later today.

Very nice! I bet you like tha hpipe sound. Nice to see other utilize the dual-in dual-out muffler setup. It's surprising that more aren't using that setup with the packaging constrains we have in the fbody. I bet the sound is very refined.

I don't really know anything about mufflers, but is it okay to have the in+out on the same side of the muffler like that?
Usually I see both ins on one side and both outs on the other...

If there was an X inside, there would be too much turbulance, and it wouldn't flow well at all.

I'm really liking that sound!!!
Looks nice too, would almost fool you into thinking it is a standard "F-Body" muffler unless you look close enough to see the 2in/2out setup.

I haven’t been able to really start tuning it yet but I do have some more pics including a clearance shot posted on another site. I also posted some new sound clips. If anyone in Utah would like to talk to these guys shoot me a PM.

its a very nice setup and all, but i just listened to the sound clip and it sounds exactly like my flowmaster 80 series which arent true duals. i would think it should sound different.
