Default ****!! Broke this, what is it?

Me and my dad were putting on my LS6 intake and while he was trying to figure out how to disconnect all the fuel stuff he broke this thing off. I circled it in the picture but you cant see it barely. its a black thing with a few little hoses running to it.

What the hell is that thing?
And is it a dealer only part?

if it clicks into a solenoid thats the evap. if that clicks into the fuel rails well thats the fuel line.

or...you can just use 2 flathead screwdrivers... That is what I have always done. Each their own.

yeah, you just have to work them around the edges and *lightly tug* on it. it has a little sliding piece of plastic (ring) that needs to be pushed back inside of it to allow it to disconnect. It will probably take you a few minutes to get it un-done the first few attempts. After that you will be able to do them like cake. Use a smaller flathead so you can get in there deeper and not have to worry about jacking the ring up to the point of replacement.

Like the craftsman flathead with the clip on it to fit in your shirt pocket. Those are perfect.
