Default Building a Catted Y

I planning to build a catted Y with Flowmaster merge for a LT install. A friend has a shop that does exhaust, and we will be able to use all his equipment, but he only has a crush bender. What mandrel bends are needed for this, and where is a good place to get them? Any other helpful info is welcome.

just go buy yourself a pair of U bends, a 90 degree and a pair of 45 degree bends... you should be alright...

i was going to do one with a magnaflow 2 to 1 merge with dual 3" in and single 3" out... flows a bit better than the flowmaster merge.

also, go to eadperformance's website and get a pair of the magnaflow spun metallic cats ... the ones I was going to use for mine were the offset 3" but thats entirely up to you of course.

Thanks for the help! I'll get those bends.

I already have the Flowmaster merge and pair of the older style Carsound ceramic cats. I'm going to go from 3'' at the collectors to 2.5" Y to the merge and the 3" I to my GMMG.

setup : 2002 Z28 A4 w/ pacesetter LT's, GMMG

Plan: build a custom catted y pipe using (2) 3" Magnaflow metallic core cats

problem: where is the ideal placement for the cats to ensure proper heating while resisting overheating? Then, is 3" ypipe to gmmg piping good idea for car with only above listed mods?
