What is the difference between a camaro and corvette LS1 alternator?
I noticed one is $239 the other is $362?
Also does the GTO use the same alt as camaro or vette? Because I have a GTO setup and I can not fit the back alternator mount, it doesnt line up by 3/4"

I can guarantee they are clocked differently. Awhile ago a (knowledgeable) customer asked me the same thing--yeah, the price is that much more--so I brought both out and we checked them.
The exciter plug in looked exactly the same and they both had the same looking hot lead, but the mount holes were, as mentioned above, clocked almost exactly opposite.
The mount holes are....similar.....but they LOOKED slightly different.

i was talking with a few vette owners at a gathering last week and they said a certain year (i believe 01) costs more then all the others because the amperage is higher. Also i noticed their exciter plug that goes into the alternator has three wires going into it while an f-bodies only has 1 so i beleive the amperage is different
