Arrow Who has The Oldest Pacesetters???

So I am wondering who has the oldest Pacesetters. My reasoning on this, is I want to know how well they hold up for long periods of time. I am thinking about purchasing them, but I live in Michigan..... The only plus is that I don't drive my car in the snow, it is stored all winter ....

So lets see:

1. How long you've had them
2. What kind of weather conditions you drive in
3. How much corrosion\rust is on them

Any info is greatly appreciated guys!! Let's see how helpful LS1Tech regulars can be ONCE AGAIN!

This is a great thread, for I would also like to know this. I put my Z28 up for winter, and she comes out in May.
I am debating between Coated Pacesetters and Kooks Stainless right now....

WOW, those look nasty.....the only difference for me would be that I don't drive during winter. But I guess that rain could do the same thing.

Keep it up guys!!

Im in texas, so no salt on my roads, or headers. I have had my headers on since last summer and no rust yet, except on the collector on the bottomside where I scraped them, but thats my fault.

I live in Texas too, little over a year so far with my Pacesetters on my DD Z28. Just minor rust on the end flanges, but not bad really. I try to get under there at least once a month and clean them up good, but besides that Im satisfied for the price.

Ive had mine on for a little over a year. There is surfast rust developing in a few spots near the collectors. I'm in southern SC so there isn't any salt from snow.

I can't recall exactly when I bought my Pacesetters, but I can tell you that I got in on the very first batch they sold here on LS1Tech. I'd guess 4 years ago. The only place my coating its coming off is on the bottom of the collectors. I'm going to sand them and spray on some silver high temp paint. Other than that, they still look good.

Oh, and my car is not a daily driver. Has only seen rain a handful of times.

I have had mine on for about 7 months, and they are showing a little rust close to the collectors.. Its a daily driver, and in the Va it rains quiet often.

Voted for 3+ years.

1. Since late '03
2. It's my DD, the car sees rain, sleet, snow.(although arkansas weather isn't too harsh)
3. There is hardly any rust on the primaries in the engine bay, but under the car the coating is kinda peeling off and rusting, But so far im happy. They still look good unless you get under the car, and its only light surface rust.
