probably the collector to pipe [Y ? ] connection...did u use band clamps..if so..u might want to remove clamp....then take a piece of aluminum foil 3" x 2' feet or so and wrap the connection..then replace clamp..has worked on mine and others here.

so it may just be valvetrain noise, get the exhaust hooked up and see it the noise goes away.

Normal. The headers are alot thinner than the old iron manifolds. Its just valvetrain noise.

One thing idk about also is, it only pops once when i get on it at 3000 rpms, its not like a constant missfire, its just a POP when it shifts then goes away

like hellschariot you will hear more ticking from valve train noise but if you getting pops sounds like you might have a leak or your 02 sensor is loose or even bad. Check them out.

Yeah i think i know what you mean about the pop, i got my car tuned and it went away completley, but i miss it. Its sounds like a small backfire when you shift.

I will give this a try. I have been wrestling with these short *** SPL collectors that won't seal for years. Thanks

I've been using the aluminum duct tape that you can get at the hardware store for this. It works great!

After I check all the header bolts, band clamps etc, it tuned out to be a loose plug and wire no more tick.
