Dyno numbers
What is the actual dyno numbers for a stock 98 camaro z28? I'm going to be racing a rx-7 in May we have $500 dollars on it plus he is paying my way in. He tried before but I wouldn't race him because he couldn't beat my neighbor's 5.0 mustang and I whupped the stang. My car is all stock other than exhaust(no mufflers), k&n filter, tb bypass smooth bellow and slp lid in the mail. I have a hypertech programmer and an 02 SS hood what numbers and hp should I expect myself to be in? The previous owner said he got nine flate in the 1/8. What are your numbers and mods?

Well he has an upgraded turbo a larger than stock and the motor is originally a twin turbo. He wanted to do $5000 and I told him I wouldn't mind even putting on pink slips since I just would have supercharged my car for free by taking his money after.

Stock Ls1's produced 320-350bhp SAE Net. This is good enough for low 13's in most cases with a manual. Auto's tend to be a tad slower stock.
Are you manual or auto?
None of the mods you've listed are worth any power really except the SLP lid.
You should be able to easily beat an RX-7 but if they have that kind of money to throw about ($5000) and are driving an RX-7 and not a C6 z06 expect them to have done a lot more to the car.
Either that or they are really stupid.
If you can't afford to lose $500 don't race.
I'd be tempted to do some mods though.
-If it's from a dig then sticky tires.
-4.10 gears (manual) 3.73 (auto)
-stall if auto
-Lt's and exhaust
-port your TB (see sig)
-LS6 intake
-150 shot of nitrous!

If he's willing to throw that money down Id forget him. Something seems weird. That guy must feel really tough trying to put the smack down on a basically stock LS1. Take the 500 bucks and start modding.

he backed off when I told him to just race for pinks and now he is saying he was just kidding about the $5000. Well I'll just do the $500 dollar race and anyway he is racing my other neighbor's 5.0 mustang first so I'll get a sneek peek. He said he is going to have about 420 hp but I call bullshit because he said he had 330 on his last motor and couldn't even beat a basically stock 5.0 mustang with intake and full exhaust. The mustang is getting a make over though of heads, cam, and intake manifold. rx-7 doesn't know the funny thing we're all neighbors. Plus I've driven his car on the last motor the ******* thing doesn't ******* pull anywhere close to mine when dropped in second my **** practically jumps going into second and chirps going into third!
