Will a Hypertech 160 degree LS1 Thermostat work with a Meziere Water Pump? I know the instructions say to purchase a SBC Thermostat, but I have a brand-new Hypertech thermostat that I'd like to use if it'll work. Any advice or past experience would be greatly appreciated.

No it won't...the thermostat on the Meziere doesn't even go in the same spot as the stocker. The install document on ls1howto.com should help explain it better...

I used the old style like in 78 Camaro 160* .It goes in the upper pipe (outlet) that has LS1 engraved on it, it takes a big wrench to remove it. and the lower (inlet) just use the thermostat housing only.

I have a 160degree SBC stat for the Meziere pump for sale.

Brand new, never used. $10 shipped. It came with my h20 pump, but I purchased a 180stat for my setup.

Thanks, I"ve learned that it's my only option. I guess now I'll have a brand-new 160 degree Hypertech Thermostat for sale
