Are TSP TD's with Pacesetter LT's to much noise for a DD?

Are TSP TD's with Pacesetter LT's to much noise for a DD?
Title says it all.
Will it get annoying just cruising around at lower RPM's? Also, is it easy to put cats on the dumped TSP true duals?, I...uh, I mean my fiancee wants to avoid the gas smell?
I am debating between pacesetter LT's, TSP catted Y to hooker/magnaflow cat-back or going with Pacesetter LT's to TSP true duals.
I drive a '00 Z28.
Thanks,
Matt

I just ordered cats for mine, I'll tell you this summer how much it helps.
I may reduce after the mufflers and try and take the exhaust out the back too, $$ permitting. After the cam, anything that can help the noise is welcome.

I have pacesetter lts with the tsp catted y pipe and gmmg exhaust. My setup sounds great with cats. Out of your choices I would go with pacesetter LT's, TSP catted Y to hooker/magnaflow cat-back. You will not lose much with the cats

If you get the TDs just make sure you angle the turndowns outward, I was in a car with dumped bullets with the dumps angled and it droned less than my Spiral Flows do like they come from TSP.

Are you saying the bullets have less drone than the spiral flows?

What he's saying is that we all know bullets are louder than spiral flows. What makes the difference, then, is the angle of the dumps (horizontal is quieter than straight down).

Dumps wont be bad with a stock motor, it didnt bother me any really. Now with the new H/C setup i hate my dumps and am getting them extended out the back tommorow before it drives me crazy.

WTF are you guys comparing spiral flows to bullets for? Last time I checked spiral flows are a bullet muffler.

Of course it will be loud! Too loud for a DD imo. I just don't like the constant vibrations, and deepness, with dumped duals. Everything will shake. That's why I went with the Bassani kit, much more refined. Dumped duals are just loud by nature.

I daily drove the Z28 for over a year with Pacesetters and TSP duals with Dynomax bullets and no cats. The gas smell isn't as bad as what it is with the set-up on the CETA; same headers, custom ORY and a one chamber. I'd go with one chamber flowmasters if you get the TSP TDs. You can't beat the sound

I run pacesetters and TSP duals w/ spiral flows out the back under the axel and it is not excessively loud. Before I had the exhaust extended I ran the turn downs with TSP hangers supplied, I had horrible ground clearance and it was way louder. I had it extended and couldnt be happier, they got me another inch of ground clearance and the car sounds great no rasp at all, quiet when I want it to be, and still a beast with WOT!

Long tubes and an x pipe on a stock motor isn't that loud at all. Now once you get a cam it's a whole different story.
You guys talk about the gas smell like it's a bad thing. I don't mind it at all, smells pretty good to me lol.
Edit: dumps are pretty stupidly loud in the car, I would suggest having them run out the back if you want to avoid the drone.

my car sounds pretty much the same as it did before headers at idle, but at start-up and WOT its louder. I ofcourse dont have true duals but the TSP catted y.
