Default Mufflers

I have a '00 SS. It has a SLP exhaust, i am prett sure its the SLP dual/dual and is not very loud. I had a couple of questions. I want a louder souding muffler, preferably like the SLP loudmouth. I dont want to have to replace the whole catback, do they sell just the muffler itself? I looked on SLP but couldnt find it. What do resonators do?

do you plan on getting headers in the future.....and getting rid of your cats?......if so don't get lm1..the tone goes to ****.....and it is super ******* loud....instead get a real muffler.......if you don't plan on LT and a ORY then lm1 will be a good choice......it sounds great and is cheap

No, i wont be getting headers and i will be keeping cats. But were can i buy just the muffler? Would i not even need the muffler but just a resonator? and will just getting the resonator sound just as good?

LM1 is more like an echo chamber...inside there is nothing....LM2 is a resonator.......they are bullet mufflers.....you will have to loose you stock muffler.....the good news is a lot of ppl want that slp muffler off your car.....so you can buy the cat-back.....and get most of your money back if you sell your stocker

Like said above, your slp dual/dual is in pretty high demand around here for guys with LT's & no cats.....don't go hacking it up. Sell it and buy the entire loudmouth catback.

go to Marylandspeed.com and you will find the LoudMouth1 mufflers sold singally for around $70.00-$80.00 dollars, just the Muffler or echo chamber-resonator, anyways, on that website, it is called a "Shotgun Resonator" just their term for the SLP LoudMouth 1, let me know any other questions you have about SLP exhaust products, trust me, I have guinea pigged my Camaro and Trans Am as much as I could with diferent set ups with dual Loudmouths, single, LT's everything, I am a fan for noise, my e-mail is: finian_2005@yahoo.com

I would keep your dual/dual. They sound great. One of the best sounding. Headers will really wake them up.
