Default Non-Mandrel Bend Question

I recently purchased a used Borla Ajustable catback to put on the T/A. The over the axle pipe, however, had some serious dents in it that were "beyond repair" according to the muffler shop I took it to. I settled for a non-mandrel bend just to get things welded up for the mean-time.

I'm curious as to how much a non-mandrel bend will hurt exhaust flow, and how much will it affect performance?

And also, is there a place online where I can buy the correct stainless mandrel bent over the axle pipe?

If the pipe is big enough (3 in) it won't hurt your flow enough for you to notice a difference. Summit sells pre fabricated bends in a variety of degree bends. You can get all you need from them and weld them together. I am sure you could call a sponsor that works directly with pipe bending adn they woul dbe able to help you out as well.

Really? No difference? The pipe looked creased and oval shaped, I figured that would limit flow to at least some extent. Hm.

Its going to limit the flow compared to a mandrel bend. You may of sacrificed a couple hp I am guessin.

Sure its not optimal, but you will never notice 2, 3, 5, or even a 10 hp difference on your car.

Regardless of whether not I notice it, I'm just curious as to how much power it will rob, if any. 5-10hp would probably be worth having a mandrel bent pipe welded in.

Okay let me just take it all off then.

As stated in the orginal post, I'm looking for the amount of power that is taken away from having a non-mandrel bent pipe. I couldn't care less about your philosophies.

its not worth the amount of money to have a local muffler shop put the pipe in. when you can have a mandel piece for int for same effort just a coupl bucks more.

if you honestly need to ask how much hp then your obvisouly dont care that much

I'm asking the HP difference out of CURIOUSITY. Did I not make it clear that the non-mandrel bend is temporary? I'm not looking for your opinions, I'm looking for facts. So unless you have some facts to answer my questions, please quit posting in this thread.
