Default solid motor mounts (hope this is in the right place)

OK guys..I plan to put in the Spohn solid motor mounts before my cam install and was wondering if there is a write up or how much of a PITA it will be.

Super easy with the motor out.

If not, just unbolt the trans and lift it up a few inches. If you have a tubular K-member, it shouldn't be too bad.

I recently put in Moroso solid mounts on my '94 but it was in the midst of a motor swap.

any more details than unbolt the transmission and lift it up? I don't have AC to worry about. What about the starter/headers... Anyone have any detailed directions on this?

I have seen a poly write-up, but not a solid. It was pretty straight forward when I did it. I had no A/C either.

I did them with the A/C, starter, alternator, and LT's still on the car, and they were no problem, just a tight fit. I think we jacked the motor up like two inches or so.

I think installing the solid mounts would probably be easier or just about the same as installing poly's

it is easier because you dont have to **** with the clamshell or anything, just take the whole mount out and replace. Theres 8 bolts on each side and its really straight forward when you are under the car.

Some friends of mine and I recently installed solid mounts on a friend's turbo Trans Am. It was a pain in the *** because of the turbo, but without it I would assume it's much easier. Also, riding in the car I found that the car does not vibrate nearly as much as I thought it would. In fact, I thought it would be damn near unbearable, but it is not at all.

we should make t-shirts about how we debunked the "solid mounts are too harsh" myth. Then we'ed be cool....
