Congrats. Post up some pics. Well this is the route I went. I got a lid, cat back, ordered headers that will be getting installed with a custom y-pipe, mild cam, and a tune. Also want to get a stall but will do that with my next set of mods, but those are some good things to start with. Good luck

unless you are using an ls6 cam or somthing similar you need the converter before the cam

first step is determine a budget and what do you want out of the car. be realistic with your goal, dont say 6500000hp

ive built two f-bodies in the last 7 years one 6 speed the other an auto. both times i went the heads, cam, full bolt on approach but knowing what i know now and with all the other fast cars out there i would only do forced induction just to stay competitive with all the other bruisers out there. i have a local guy that i would have build me a turbo set up with intercooler, a 12 bolt or dana s60 rear end and a chromoly or steel driveshaft. it wouldnt be to long after that that your gonna need to get into that trans.

or do the full bolt on heads and cam but get a nice nitous set up with all the electronics and a remote bottle opener and bottle heater like i did with my m6 camaro
