Default Pacesetter

I'm getting ready to purchase my Pacesetters, which one do i specify race or 00-02? What's the difference?

I believe you are a little consufed.

The 00-02 would be the year of your car.

As far as race goes, that is headers without air/egr hookups. If you want to keep your egr/air then you would need to specify emmissions hookups, not race.

I have an 02 z28 and I got the pacesetter with air, and they did not connect with the air tubes every well and it was leaking. I wish I would have got the race, because I did the !air mod and now I have this dumb looking things that stick out of the headers. I have an ory so the air is just dead weight anyways, but if you got a catted y then you might want to keep it.

is there any differences in performance between the ones with the egr hook up aand the ones with it??

Ya, no performance difference. race style looks better though.

I'm going with a catted Y and I have the EGR LS6 intake, but do you guys think I should go with the race style? I don't want any fitment issues like what the other poster said with the EGR/AIR hook ups..

^ its all really up to you. If you get race style headers then you will have to get the erg plug for you intake also. As long as you order the right part then their should be no issues with the air/egr.

If you live in a place that has high emission standards then you will most likely want to keep your emission hookups.

I like the race style just because it cleans up the enigine bay. Other than that, thats about it.
