Default Installed ls6 intake 2 days ago

well i installed my intake 2 days ago and didnt break the oil sending bitch in the back. it was my first time so it was a pain in the *** install. but you know what they say....."practice makes perfect right" lol. well i got my practice in because i ended up snapping 2 intake bolts and i had to take the new intake off yesterday The second time is the easy part because i knew exactly what i was doing. i ended up having to drill out the 2 bolts with a small bit and then back them out with an extractor. so,got them out, got the intake back on and now i'm waiting to get some new bolts to sock it down. i managed to be able to start the car when i had it bolted down 2 days ago and it sounds lopie.
some of you guys already know what a nightmare install this was for me because of getting the coolant into my ports. man, this was the ls6 intake install from ******* hell let me tell you

On the intake?! It's something like 44 in/lbs first pass, then a second pass at ~90 in/lbs, that's about 4 ft/lbs and 7 ft/lbs, poor plastic guy can't take much abuse, just make 'em hand tight ... unless I'm thinking of the wrong thing?

ouch 37 ft/lbs!! no wonder people are breaking the bolts, i had zero problems with that, an inch/lbs torque wrench is your friend. cant say the same about the oil sending unit

yeah its 44in lbs first then 89in lbs second. i just picked up a good craftsman torque wrench today. the one i was using was junk. yeah, you dont need to tighten them to much. its hard to tell because you wanna make sure the gaskets are sealed up nice and its not still being held up by the coolant lines underneath. its all good. i should have my bolts tomoro and i'll sock down the intake.
as far as good advice for installing the ls6 and not breaking the sending unit goes.....lift up the intake, try to pivot the back to the right side of the car while you pull it out,and while your doing that keep feeding the break booster hose little by little around the sending unit in the back. thats the best advice right there

intake is installed. but when i took it out this time again the map wires ripped out so i spent a couple hours trying to figure out how to make a new connection. it turned out good i think. no codes about the map. other problems are arising though lol
