Default Turndowns?

Guys running duals.....I have been running duals dumped for years now and I have been hearing/reading that turning the turndowns toward each other cancels out some of the sound/loudness/drone. Does anyone have first hand experience of this?

I've always heard that turning them away from each other (towards the sides) makes them tone down a bit.

I've heard the same thing but have never tried it. I've always pointed mine a little towards the outside of the car, and that seems to help a little bit.

that keeps the sound still under the car...turning them out and not allowing them to echo off the ground seems to work best for me...

i tried it both ways. Turning them out towards the side with a little downward angle was the best. With that i got no interior rattle and little resonance. When i had them turned down it freakin felt like i had open headers.

Thanks. That's the way I have them now....turned out to the side a little. Sound like I will keep them that way
